Weekend Link Love: Captcha edition
Another week, more linkage for the masses. Enjoy.
Part of my job as a blogger is to comment on other blogs. Some of these blogs use CAPTCHA to test if you’re a human or not. Many times I wonder how I even guessed the captcha correctly because it’s entirely illegible. My cat could probably get past it just as easily as I did. Press a few letters, then press enter.
First, the carnivals and roundups that featured MFIJ this week.
- My post on Should Americans be Forced to Save for Retirement got mentioned in the Carnival of Personal Finance hosted at Girls Just Want to Have Funds. The same post was also mentioned in the Mid Week Money Roundup hosted at Financially Integrated.
- My post describing the definitions of financial independence and retirement got mentioned on Midlife Finance’s President’s Day Roundup.
- My WAG Stock Analysis got mentioned on The Frugal Farmer’s weekly roundup.
I am very thankful that other bloggers consider some of my writing worth promoting.

Readers: How did your week go?
Thanks for the mention, Myfij! Hope you have a great weekend. As for us, we’ll be relaxing at home and doing some ice skating with the kiddos.
Thanks for the links, I am in good company.
Thanks for the mention MyFIJ, it is much appreciated! I am not a fan of Captcha as a reader, but I totally get the point of it. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the mention this week!

Thanks for the mention, have a great weekend!
Thanks a lot for the mention MyFIJourney! It is much appreciated. Hope you had a great weekend!
CAPTCHA is a nightmare for me most of the time. I am dyslexic so letters blend together anyhow, let alone when they are deliberately squished! I notice you mentioned you found them illegible too, maybe you should try CAPTCHA bypass software? I am using one called RUMOLA and it is excellent, just reads and fills them all in for you without the brain strain! Try it at skipinput.com
I agree. CAPTCHA is the worst mate. It really puts a bummer on people commenting and I recommend everybody remove CAPTCHA for more interaction!
