Thomson Reuters (TRI) is massive publishing company.  It was formed in 2008 when Thomson acquired Reuters.  Currently, TRI has four business segments, Financial & Risk (56% of 2012 revenues), Legal (27%), Tax & Accounting (9%), and Intellectual Property & Science (7%).  Geographically, revenues in 2011came from the Americas (58%), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (30%), and Asia (12%).  In 2012, about 86% of revenues were recurring, which makes sense given that much of the information that TRI publishes … Read entire article »
