Who wants a Reboot?

I’ve been thinking about this for a few weeks now. I know that I’ve let the site atrophy over the last few months. Life has been keeping me busy and I’ve had a few positive, but time consuming, changes to my life as well.

The simple fact is that I can’t run a blog with a consistent commitment to posting updates 1-3x per week. But one or two posts per month may work out fine. The posts would probably be longer and with more of a focus on quality rather than just getting something out there – I’ve got no interest in being a professional blogger.

As such, I am seriously considering rebooting the site. New layout that loads faster with bigger text. Revising and updating older articles that offer solid information. And posting 1-2 times a month when/if I have something to say.

Look for changes over the next month or two as I get free time again.

I’d be very supportive of a cut in frequency for the same/higher quality less often. Really, so long as the site doesn’t die off, I’m all for whatever you need to do. I enjoy this site a lot.

  2. A wise decision sir! Burnout is a tough battle to fight, and one that every blogger contends with. I know I’ve been fortunate to be somewhat consistent the past few months, but know that as the temperature rises, outdoor distractions will take time away from my writing and posting schedule.

Welcome back! I’ve missed your articles and look forward to your return!

  4. New layout and bigger text sounds alright to me for as long as content isn’t going to disappear :)

I completely understand, this has been a huge issue for me as well. I cannot come up with a standard schedule on my blog either. I simply put out good content when it comes to me. I will still be following you!

I’d vote for posting 1 or 2 times a month if one of those posts is a monthly dividend income report. Those are the posts that motivate me the most as a beginner DG investor.
